Vietnam is located in South East Asia bordering the Gulf of Thailand, the Gulf of Tonkin, and the South China Sea alongside with borders with China, Laos, and Cambodia. Vietnam stretches for 1650km from North to South and its terrain comprises of flat deltas in the south and north, central highlands and a mountainous region to the far northern regions of the country.

Weather

Due to the country’s length and it diverse topography, the climate in Vietnam differs from North to South. The North has two distinct seasons, a cold humid winter from November to April and a warm wet summer for the remainder of the year. Summer temperatures average 22°C with occasional typhoons. The South is generally warm all year round with the hottest months being March to May, with temperatures rising to the low 30°C and low amounts for rainfall. This is followed by monsoon season until October.
